What you get: One live Italian Vallisneria (Vallisneria spiralis). Each order contains a single live crown or plug of the species, prepared and packed for aquarium use.
Cultivation and care: Classified as beginner-friendly, this vallisneria grows well in low to medium aquarium lighting and tolerates temperatures from 59–86°F. It does not require CO2 injection to thrive, making it suitable for simple setups and low-tech tanks.
Placement and use: Best used as a background plant where its long, ribbon-like leaves create a lush backdrop. It fits planted tanks, community aquaria, shrimp tanks and breeding setups, and spreads via runners to fill space over time.
Shipping and guarantee: Plants are greenhouse-grown and inspected at the Canton Aquatics family nursery in Terrell, TX before shipment. Orders include a live arrival guarantee—if a plant reaches you dead or damaged, contact the seller within 24 hours and provide photos to request a replacement or refund.
Packaging note: Plants are shipped in a form appropriate to the current stock (single crown/plug). Each specimen is handled to preserve roots and foliage during transit.
Grower: Grown and distributed by Canton Aquatics, a family-run greenhouse operation based in Terrell, Texas.

Good plants despite delay
Arrived late, likely caused some rot; otherwise plants were OK.

Not a total loss
Arrived in poor shape and I doubted they'd survive, but most have started producing new growth.

Arrived damaged after transit
Plants showed brown, semi-transparent leaves on arrival. After placing them in sand under a grow light the foliage separated from the root mass. Five days later only one of the six plants retained any leaves.

Six-pack arrived healthy and rooted
We ordered the six-pack and they arrived healthy and well rooted despite the Texas heat. Runners produced extras and they look great in our small nano setup.
