Arrived in great condition
Came in pristine condition and tuned easily. It has Nylgut-style strings and solid tuning machines. The kit includes a tuner, spare strings, picks, a strap, a bag and a large cleaning cloth. Feels like a real instrument, not a toy.

Family jam success
Bought to inspire my grandkids and it worked — I learned in an afternoon and we had a spontaneous jam the next visit. Initially it wouldn’t hold tuning until the strings stretched, which the instructions explain, so I docked one star for the break-in period.

Very enjoyable to play
This uke plays very well and the strap is handy. Comfortable size and lots of fun. It tends to slip out of tune at first but stabilizes after a few sessions.

Very satisfied novice buyer
As a beginner I chose this instead of the smaller soprano I had been using. Shipping was excellent. The metallic blue finish shifts toward purple in different light, which I love. It comes with a padded case, strap, tuner, cleaning cloth and spare strings (the spares don’t feel premium). It doesn’t hold tune perfectly yet, but I expect it will settle after some playing. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Handsome uke, kept playing it
The look caught my eye: light wood with an etched sun around the soundhole and cloud motifs on the fretboard. I wanted a tenor but tried this instead and considered adding a low G. I’ve enjoyed it so much I don’t feel the urge to change it. This is actually my fourth Donner uke — once I started playing I got hooked.
