Product review

What’s included and how it’s used: The product is a modular doorway threshold ramp composed of interlocking sections with a pivoting top flap and pre-drilled holes so it can be anchored in place. It’s intended to bridge doorways, sliding patio doors and raised landings to allow smooth passage for wheelchairs, scooters, walkers and other mobility aids.

Materials and build: Constructed from high-strength, corrosion-resistant aluminum with an extruded slip-resistant surface across the top, the ramp is made to withstand outdoor exposure and frequent use. The design provides traction in wet or dry conditions and resists bending or rusting that can affect polymer or rubber alternatives.

Sizes and fit: The 2-inch model fits thresholds that measure approximately 1.75" to 2.25" in rise — measure your doorway before selecting this size. Other height options are available (1", 1.5", 3", 4", 5" and 6") so you can match different threshold profiles. The unit dimensions are 34" wide by 12" deep, weighs about 5.5 lbs, and is rated for a 700 lb capacity.

Portability and modularity: Sections can be removed or combined to adjust overall height and slope, and the small pivoting flap provides fine clearance tweaks. The ramp’s relatively light weight makes it suitable for both semi-permanent installation and temporary use at different locations. Anchor points allow a more permanent, quiet installation when needed.

Pros

  • Durable, rust-resistant aluminum construction
  • Slip-resistant extruded surface for secure traction
  • Modular and light enough to move for temporary use

Cons

  • Can interfere with some door closures — measure first
  • Hollow underside and section joints may create noise if unanchored
  • Precise measurements and careful assembly required for proper fit

VerdictThis modular aluminum threshold ramp delivers durable, weatherproof performance and reliable traction for daily use. Its 34" width and 700 lb capacity handle most mobility devices while remaining light enough to move as needed. The modular sections and small pivoting flap let you tailor the height, but careful measurement is essential — some doors may not close over the lip and the hollow undersid

Reviews

  1. Orchid grower 388 5/5

    Good value

Fast arrival and good overall value for the functionality.

  2. Baldy 5/5

    Nice

Solid aluminum extrusion. I used it on the exterior to prevent a wooden ramp from warping — holds up well.

  3. sylvia hudson 5/5

    Walker access is easy now

Simple to install and smooth to get in and out with my walker.

  5. Bobby 5/5

    Top-notch ramp

Excellent transition piece — even my dog uses it. Easy to assemble and fits perfectly. I’ll get another from this brand.

  6. Allan 5/5

  7. Luis Rangel 5/5

    Excellent.

  8. Erin 5/5

    Return policy confusion

Arrived quickly and was packed securely. Assembly was straightforward and the ramp is solid and adjustable, but my storm door won’t close with it in place despite the low lip. I contacted the manufacturer and their representative was apologetic and helpful.

  9. Forests 5/5

    Huge difference for home access

Great modular option for wheelchair access at home. Very stable — we have one on each side of our sliding deck door. Compact enough to take on visits. Works well for manual chairs and should fit scooters and smaller power chairs.

  10. Robin Rosner 3/5

    Almost right, but frustrating

Advertised for patios and sliding doors but measurements mattered. Our opening was only 28" wide and assembly felt unclear without labeled pieces. The lack of a simple return route added a lot of hassle for us and caused unnecessary stress.

  11. Jesper 5/5

    Functional but noisy unless anchored

Works as intended, but the hollow underside can cause loud thumps if it isn’t fastened down. Joints between sections add some flex and noise.

  12. Woolly 5/5

    Solid and attractive

Makes crossing my front threshold much easier for my wheelchair — no more jarring drop.
