Product review

This product is supplied as a single pump bottle of Optase LIFE Sensitive Renewal Cream designed specifically for the skin around the eyes. The formula deliberately keeps ingredients to a minimum — a preservative-free blend of 13 components that includes Vitamin E, humectant glycerin and balancing minerals to support sensitive eyelid skin.

A key technology in the cream is patented ionized water, which is intended to increase hydration, reinforce the skin’s protective barrier and help replace essential lipids for healthier, more resilient eyelid tissue. The texture is lightweight and emollient enough to soothe dryness and visible roughness while remaining fast-absorbing.

The product is fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and has been tested by dermatologists. Its non-sticky finish lets it layer smoothly under cosmetics and routine skincare. It is marketed for daily use on the upper and lower eyelid skin — a small amount gently smoothed in around the orbital area morning and/or evening is the recommended application.

Because it is preservative-free and formulated for external use on the eyelid skin, it should not be used as an ocular instillation or substitute for medicated eye drops. The cream’s intended purpose is topical restoration and protection of dry, sensitive periorbital skin, not treatment of conditions inside the eye itself.

Clinically evaluated by eyecare professionals, this renewal cream emphasizes replenishing moisture, calming irritation and helping to soften fine lines while maintaining a minimalist ingredient profile for those prone to sensitivity.

Pros

  • Hydrates and soothes fragile eyelid skin
  • Minimal, preservative-free ingredient list
  • Lightweight, non-greasy and layers well under makeup

Cons

  • Not suitable for putting into the eye
  • May sting if it contacts the open eye
  • Occasional availability issues reported

VerdictA soothing, fast-absorbing eye-area cream built for fragile, dry skin. The minimalist, preservative-free formula with ionized water, glycerin and Vitamin E replenishes moisture, reduces flakiness and smooths fine lines without feeling sticky. Not intended for direct instillation into the eye.

    Really effective for pregnancy-related dryness

Really effective; helped my pregnancy dry eyelids with noticeable relief.

  2. Par 5/5

Helps with lines but avoid getting it in the eye

Moisturizes the skin around my eyes and reduced fine lines, but it stings if it gets into my open eyes. I apply it at night.

  3. Courtnie 5/5

No reactions on very sensitive skin

My skin reacts to many products, but this caused no irritation. A tiny dot covers upper and lower lids and blends in well. I’ll buy it again.

  4. EleanorAdams 5/5

    Gentle for reactive skin

    Appears to help.

  5. Ell Coulb 1/5

    Important: not an eye drop

Be careful — this is a topical cream for the skin, not eye drops. I once used it like drops when tired and it burned until I rinsed. The packaging can be confusing; don't put it inside the eye.

  6. Debra Cappiccille 5/5

    Relieved very inflamed, dry eyelids

I have very dry, inflamed eyelids and my dry-eye specialist advised using it around the whole eye area. It eased severe redness and reduced itching. Highly recommended.

  7. SoCal Nana 5/5

Soothes sensitive eyelids and stays put

This renewal cream soothed my reactive eyelids. It’s slightly thicker than some brands but doesn’t leave a gummy feel; it stays where applied and doesn’t migrate. I apply it to clean skin in the morning.

    Healed flaky lids without irritation

A few days of use cleared the flaky skin above my eye. It’s soft, non-irritating, easy to apply and effective.
