Product review

This kit includes a single universal camera rain cover with integrated drawstring sleeves and a clear plastic rear window. The main body is made from lightweight, packable nylon with a transparent PVC window for viewing rear screens and settings.
The cover slips over the camera and lens and secures at the lower section, with dual closures that allow use while the camera is mounted on a tripod. Elasticated drawstrings at the sleeve openings help form a close fit around your hands and the lens barrel so you can still reach buttons, dials and the grip.
Designed to fit most DSLR, SLR and mirrorless cameras from Sony, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and similar systems, the opening accommodates many larger front elements — users have successfully fitted lenses up to around 82 mm and reported it may stretch to near 100 mm on some bodies. When not in use it folds compactly and stows easily in a bag.
Care instructions: wipe the clear window clean after use, dry the nylon fully before packing, and avoid prolonged exposure in heavy rain where saturation can eventually occur. The cover is intended for short-term protection and on-the-go shooting in wet or dusty conditions.

Pros

  • Lightweight and packable
  • Clear window for easy viewing
  • Universally compatible with major camera brands

Cons

  • Not fully watertight in heavy, prolonged rain
  • Clear window can be reflective and a bit stiff
  • Can be fiddly to fit with smaller lenses

VerdictA practical, inexpensive weather cover that keeps cameras operational in light wet conditions and folds away into a camera bag. The clear back window and drawstring sleeves let you operate controls without exposing the body. It’s not a foolproof solution in prolonged heavy downpours, but it’s handy for quick shoots and unpredictable weather.

    Didn’t fit my setup

It didn't suit my camera so I returned it. Build quality felt acceptable though.

  2. steve harvey 5/5

    Reliable for night shoots

Does the job well for night photography.

  3. Ray 4/5

    Handy little cover

    Useful for occasional protection.

  4. Ashlly 5/5

    Gets the job done

    Simple and effective.

  5. Bertie Brailsford 4/5

    Good value for casual use

My son likes it. We don’t know what the extra strap is meant for.

  6. Laura 2/5

    Too fiddly for me

Harder to put on and take off than I expected.

  7. Linda 3/5

    Some protection but not failproof

In light drizzle it performed okay, but heavier rain eventually soaked through and damaged a cheaper lens. It’s inexpensive but not suitable for prolonged wet conditions. Worked best with larger lenses; smaller ones were awkward.

  8. Customer Review 4/5

    Good field protection with caveats

Protects my camera in the field and seals tightly to the lens. The big clear window is handy but a bit rigid and reflective. Doesn’t grip the tripod head perfectly in windy rain; a better sealing method there would help.

  9. Chris Hoare 5/5

Fits larger bodies and lenses easily

I tested it on a professional-sized mirrorless body and it’s easy to fit even on a tripod thanks to a large bottom opening and dual closures. The rear window is reflective but usable for screen viewing. The lens aperture handled big front elements up to about 82mm and may stretch further.
