Product review
These training balls are made from a soft, flexible plastic compound and meet CPC safety guidelines for youth play. Each ball measures about 2.83 inches (roughly regulation practice size) and weighs approximately 23.3 grams, making them gentle on little hands and safer for indoor or backyard use.
The shells feature a 26-hole pattern engineered to reduce drag and create spin behavior similar to a real baseball, so batting, pitching, and fielding drills feel more realistic than a plain foam ball. The material is resilient — dents and compression tend to spring back rather than creating permanent flat spots, and the surface wipes clean after muddy or wet sessions.
Packs are offered in group quantities (6, 12, or 24) and commonly include a mesh drawstring bag for storage and transport. Bright, high-visibility colors make the balls easy to find on grass or dirt. Use them for tee work, soft toss, pitching practice, backyard catch, or even low-impact golf drills — they’re suited for both indoor and outdoor practice when conditions are calm.
Pros
- Lightweight and kid-friendly for safer practice
- Durable, flexible plastic resists cracking and pops back
- 26-hole design produces realistic flight and spin
Cons
- Very light — wind alters trajectory on breezy days
- Can dent under powerful hits, though usually recovers
- Not a substitute for regulation hard baseballs for advanced players
VerdictThese hollow, soft-plastic training balls deliver predictable flight and forgiving impact for kids and beginners. They recover from dents, resist cracking, and are easy to spot outdoors. Wind can affect their flight and heavy hitters may leave dents over time, but overall they’re durable, safe, and convenient for routine practice.

Great for drills with the kids
Light enough that I’m less worried about accidents, yet they still work for throwing and hitting practice. The pack including a bag makes cleanup and storage simple.

Solid quality and handy storage
Nice set for practice — fun to hit and durable. We’ve used them for soft toss and casual wiffle games; they don’t go as far as real baseballs so they’re easier to keep track of. They dent at times but spring back, and the included mesh bag keeps them organized.

Stands up to backyard abuse
My kid pounds these off the tee and the dog grabs them too, yet they keep their shape. Even after sun exposure they haven’t cracked or faded like the harder plastic balls we had before. They bounce back after hits and I’ll be buying extras so we don’t keep knocking on the neighbor’s door.

Reliable for backyard sessions, but watch the wind
Perfect for yard drills — hollow and light so I’m not fearing broken windows. Flight is limited, which saves time chasing balls. The drawstring bag is a plus. On breezy days they’re hard to control, and very strong hitters may dent them over time.

Good for low-impact golf practice
Came in a mesh pouch of six bright balls. The rubbery plastic compresses and returns to round, so I could hit them with a wedge without damage. One got wedged on my deck and left no marks. They slow down nicely, making them safe for beginners and teens trying golf swings.

Finally a practice ball that won’t split
Previous plastic balls would crack after repeated hits, but these compress a lot before failing and we haven’t had any split ones. They withstand batting practice and the storage bag helps keep them together. So far, no complaints.

Improved design over older wiffle balls
They feel more flexible than the ones I remember, which seems to reduce damage from dents and makes getting hit less painful. My kids loved playing with them and the mesh bag keeps everything in one place. Size and feel are great for backyard play.

Useful indoors and outdoors
These are lightweight and hollow, which makes them suitable for indoor practice and for younger players. They help kids work on coordination without the dangers of hard balls. The drawstring bag makes them portable for park or backyard use.
