Product review
Kit contents and concentration: The set contains eight precision syringes, each holding 5 grams (0.18 oz) of diamond polishing compound. The formulation features a 10% industrial-grade diamond concentration intended for fine, controlled cutting rather than aggressive removal—suitable when you need to preserve geometry and avoid over-grinding.
Grit range and particle sizes: The kit spans from coarse to ultra-fine: 320 grit (~43–48 microns) for medium-fast lapping and bulk stock removal; 1,000 grit (~15–17 microns) for pre-polishing and heavier leveling; 3,000 grit (~5.0–6.0 microns) and 4,000 grit (~3.5–4.2 microns) for fine lapping and light scratch removal; 10,000 grit (~1.6–1.8 microns), 12,000 grit (~1.1–1.3 microns) and 15,000 grit (~0.6–0.8 microns) for progressive refinement; and an ultra-fine 80,000 grit (~0.1 microns) paste for mirror-quality finishes.
Dispenser and handling: Each syringe uses a push-forward mechanism with clear measurement markings to control the amount dispensed. The paste has a low-viscosity texture for even spreading, which helps limit heat buildup while polishing. It is intended for use with wool buffs, leather strops, cotton swabs, or clean cloths, and works for both manual stropping and machine-assisted polishing. Cleanup is straightforward and no dilution or specialty cleaners are required for routine removal.
Formula and stability: The carrier is oil-based and the diamond powder is specified at ≥99.3% purity with at least 90% spherical particle shape, creating a smooth, non-separating paste that resists clumping. The compound is pH neutral, colorless, and non-staining, formulated to avoid strong odors during use—helpful when working with sensitive optical or electronic components.
Applications: This kit is designed for ultra-fine finishing and final polishing on complex shapes and heat-sensitive materials. Typical uses include optical lens finishing, semiconductor wafer post-processing, precision ceramic polishing (zirconia, silicon nitride), gemstone and jewelry finishing, and high-gloss mold surfaces. It also performs well on glass, valves, steel and stainless, carbide, titanium, aluminum, brass, plastics, wood, marble, granite, acrylics and polyurethane when a gentle, controlled finish is required.
Compatibility and notes: Because of the moderate diamond concentration, this compound is best for finishing and final-stage work where minimizing abrasion and preserving surface integrity are priorities. The kit is suitable for nanometer-level smoothness without introducing undue micro-cracks. If you have questions about matching a specific grit to your material or process, customer support is available to advise on application choices.
Pros
- Complete 8-grit progression from 320 to 80,000
- Low-viscosity, oil-based formula spreads easily
- Convenient syringe dispensers for precise dosing
Cons
- Labels may peel or fall off during shipping
- Low 10% diamond loading limits aggressive stock removal
- Small 5 g syringes mean rapid use on large surfaces
VerdictThis eight-piece diamond paste kit delivers a full polishing progression from coarse lapping to ultra-fine mirror finishing in convenient 5 g syringes. The 10% industrial-grade diamond load and low-viscosity, oil-based carrier allow controlled material removal with reduced heat and fewer micro-fractures, which is useful on delicate substrates like optical glass, wafers, and fine gemstones. Effective paste for light stropping; labeling issue
I use the 10% diamond paste when I want to avoid removing much steel while stropping knives. The compound performs consistently and the syringe makes application tidy. The only real nuisance is that some labels came loose, but a strip of tape fixed it so I could identify grits.

Good compounds but lost labels on arrival
All compounds performed as described, but several stickers were already missing when the kit arrived. That left a couple of syringes unusable until I could identify them. Fortunately, the labeled tubes worked fine so I could continue the job.

Wide grit range and good results on small restorations
Great set for hobby polishing and small restorations — it covers coarse work up to true mirror finish. I tested several grits on knives and a scratched watch crystal; results were noticeably better than expected. Syringes dispense easily and you only need a touch each time, so the kit lasts.
