Product review
This C-stand kit is constructed from durable steel rather than typical lightweight aluminum alloys, providing enhanced strength for mounting heavier lighting and audio accessories. The exterior is finished with a black protective coating to resist abrasion and reduce surface rust.
The central mast extends from about 59 inches to a maximum of approximately 130 inches, giving tall vertical reach. The C-bracket section can be set roughly between 1.5 m (5 ft) and 3.2 m (10.5 ft), and the boom arm extends out several feet for off-axis positioning. The base legs open to a 120° spread for greater stability and fold flat for transport.
Legs and base components are removable, and the legs fold for quick assembly and compact storage. The kit ships with a crossbar, two runners, three clips, a water-fillable sandbag for counterweight, and a high-quality carrying bag designed to hold the disassembled stand and accessories. A 1/4" to 3/8" adapter is included to fit most photographic and audio mounting hardware.
Use this stand for strobes, LED panels, softboxes, reflectors, umbrellas, cameras with rigs, and microphone placement in recording setups. The adjustable height and removable boom make it useful for a wide range of studio and location scenarios where reach and stability are needed.
Pros
- Robust steel construction with protective black finish
- Tall mast and removable boom for versatile positioning
- Detachable legs and carry bag for easier transport
Cons
- Heavier than aluminum alternatives for single-person carry

VerdictThis heavy-duty C-stand package delivers studio-grade stability and reach without the bulk of commercial pro rigs. Built from steel and finished in a corrosion-resistant black coating, it offers a tall central mast and a removable boom for side mounting. The foldable, 120° expandable base and included counterweight improve safety when deploying larger softboxes, flashes or microphones. Assembly an

Solid construction and clever extras
Arrived faster than expected and well packaged. The stand feels substantial and well-made. The water sandbag is an innovative touch compared with traditional sandbags. I’d recommend this and will likely buy more down the road.

Sturdy and dependable
Took a chance on it and it paid off. Assembly is quick and adjustments are smooth. Leg locking is simple and secure. The water counterweight is well made and the travel bag fits the kit easily. Running Godox AD400 Pro II with umbrellas and softboxes; it held everything steady. I’m ordering a second unit.

Reliable and portable
Well built, simple to set up, and easy to carry with the bag. Clamps add versatility. I prefer a dedicated sandbag but the included bladder works in a pinch. Stable in normal use and provides a nice controlled descent when lowering.

Would buy another
LOMTAP nailed the build quality — once tightened the rig felt solid and supported my NEEWER FS150B LED with no sag. Metal feels premium, knobs lock down confidently, and the joints are robust. Kit includes the tall mast, boom arm, two grip heads, three clips and a water sandbag. Easy to position and balance; carry bag is useful for storage though not heavily padded.

Was skeptical, pleasantly surprised
I doubted the quality at first, but it proved heavy-duty and reliable. It easily supports my Godox lights with softboxes and feels built to last — very sturdy in use.

Great for microphone placement
This all-metal boom worked exceptionally for recording a grand piano with heavy microphones and cables. Needed a long reach and a place to add counterweight; this stand provided the necessary length and stability. Considering another for additional positions.

Good overall quality
Nice extras and solid performance. Slightly lighter than pro commercial stands, so avoid overloading it, but otherwise a great value and I recommend it.

Love the stand; minor boom issue
Shipping was slower than expected, but the stand itself is fantastic. The mast has a great finish and feels very durable. Grip heads do the job and the adjustable water bag is handy. The black finish looks professional. The only downside was a small issue with the boom alignment that required extra tightening.

Great for small shoots
Sturdy construction and solid for holding heavier lights in small video or photo sessions. The carrying case makes it easy to transport after breaking it down.

Well made and practical
High-quality black finish and sturdy feel. Holds my Sony a7 IV with a Sigma 24-70 in a small rig setup. Boom ends have both 1/4" and 3/8" threads. I plan to get another.

Good first C-stand
My first C-stand and it gives more stability than typical light stands. It’s weighty even without counterweight, nicely finished, and the bag is a useful addition. Seller handled a small issue quickly.

Massive and reaches high
This is one of the beefier stands I own. The mast telescopes past 10 feet and the boom adds even more reach. Hardware is heavy-duty and hasn’t loosened over time. Very pleased and bought a second one.
