Product review

This kit includes six ultra-thin puck lights (0.4 inch profile), a wired touch dimmer/switch, a main power/control box, six 2 m long connection cables, 18 mounting screws and six pieces of double-sided tape. Each puck runs at 12 volts and consumes 2 watts (12W total), providing an equivalent output around 60W of traditional lighting in aggregate. Color temperature is natural white at 3000K and the beam is designed to be uniform without hot spots.

The lights use quality LED diodes for extended life; performance is rated to provide service for several years in normal use, with an expected lifespan of roughly 3–5 years. The touch dimmer is a separate unit from the power module, so it can be replaced or swapped with a compatible controller if desired. The dimmer responds to a light touch to turn on/off and a longer press to adjust brightness steplessly.

Installation is adaptable: each light can be recessed into a small hole or surface-mounted. The package supplies screws and 3M double-sided tape for quick installs, plus long connection cables to route components out of sight. If you need greater reach, additional extension cables are compatible. Typical applications include kitchen cabinets, display cases, shelving, wine cabinets, and jewelry showcases.

Materials include lightweight housings with diffused lenses for soft output; wiring and connectors are low-voltage and intended for cabinet-mounted installations. The kit comes with a two-year warranty and customer support for installation questions or after-sales issues.

Pros

  • Ultra-thin 0.4" profile with even, soft 3000K light
  • Multiple mounting methods and generous cable lengths
  • Separate touch dimmer allows replacement or upgrades

Cons

  • Connectors and thin components feel delicate
  • Dimmer wiring can require extra extension or adapter
  • Some DIY wiring experience helpful for nonstandard runs

VerdictA versatile under-cabinet puck lighting kit that delivers soft, even 3000K illumination and flexible installation. Long cables and multiple mounting methods make routing easy; wiring quirks around the dimmer may require an extra extension or simple splice for some setups.

Simple to fit and well lit

Straightforward setup, option to pick color temperature, and long cords let you hide wiring easily. Sturdy feel and bright enough to display collectibles.

    Reliable so far

Easy setup and they've been running for about 6–8 months with no problems; they seem to be good quality.

Touch control and clips work fine

Installed in our basement kitchen with good results. Includes one cord clip per light (wish there were more). Touch dimmer responds to light press and hold for dimming. I’d recommend this set.

    Makes our cabin pop

They look gorgeous and really elevated the cabin’s interior.

    Works but handles are fragile

Parts feel somewhat delicate. I removed the end clips and tied wires together because the push-connects weren’t reliable. Not ideal for someone without low-voltage experience, but functional once connected.

High-end look; did the install myself

Noticeable upgrade from my prior lights — they look premium and light the cooking area well. I installed them solo; routing the wires through cupboards was the most time-consuming part. Long cables and I secured the power box with Velcro. Minor delay at power-on versus my old fluorescent. Overall pleased and would recommend.

  7. jr 5/5

    Great for floating shelves

Perfect for mounting in my floating shelves. Ability to recess or surface mount is handy, and the wiring length suits longer spans.

  8. Mike P 5/5

    Solid performance, get extra cable

Easy to install and worked out well. Buy extra extension cables for flexibility during layout.

  9. West 1/5

    Dimmer connector design causes headaches

I like the lights but the dimmer cable is too short and uses a three-pin plug, which doesn’t match the two-pin extension I had. That forces the dimmer close to the main box unless you add an adapter or custom cable. The kit should include a matching three-pin extension or use two-pin connectors consistently — otherwise you’ll need to source a special cable or swap the dimmer.
