The 13-piece Star L-Key Set includes L-shaped Torx keys in the following sizes: T6, T7, T8, T9, T10, T15, T20, T25, T27, T30, T40, T45 and T50. A molded gray key holder ships with the set and has self-aligning slots so individual tools can be pulled out or returned without disturbing adjacent keys.

Each L-key is manufactured from 8660 nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel and is heat-treated to a Rockwell hardness of approximately HRC 54–58. That treatment creates a balance of hardness and toughness so the tools resist deformation while avoiding brittleness. The result is a torsion and proof load performance that consistently exceeds the relevant ASME and ISO minimums for similar hand tools.

The working ends are machined into six-lobe Torx tips with tight tolerances to ensure a precise fit in Torx fasteners and to minimize cam-out under load. The longer lengths on the larger sizes provide greater leverage when extra torque is needed. Most sizes feature dual identification: a high-visibility laser marking plus a stamped marking for quick recognition.

A durable manganese phosphate finish helps protect the tools from rust and wear during heavy use. The holder offers two organization modes: keys can be stored facing forward for immediate access, or turned to the side for a flat, low-profile arrangement that’s easier to stow in a drawer or toolbox.
