Product review

What’s included and sizing
The package contains a single 3-inch TEMPUR-Adapt + Cooling mattress topper made to fit a twin mattress. Nominal dimensions are about 37.8 x 74 x 2.9 inches, and it ships compressed to expand after unpacking.
Materials and construction
The comfort layer is made from TEMPUR-ES foam — a proprietary viscoelastic material engineered to respond to your body shape, weight and temperature to relieve pressure points. The topper is covered by a premium knit cooling fabric that feels cool to the touch and is designed to breathe. The cover is high-stretch for full foam contouring and can be removed and laundered for regular cleaning.
Performance and use
The 3-inch profile instantly alters the hand of an existing mattress, softening firm surfaces while helping dissipate motion transfer so bed partners move less. The cooling cover aims to reduce surface warmth and remains breathable through the night. Attachment straps (corner-style) secure the topper to the mattress and minimize shifting. Because it ships compressed, allow time for the foam to regain its full shape before use. Common applications include dorms, campers, overnight guests, adjustable bases (note: some users report bunching on heavily angled adjustable frames), and as a quick way to refresh an older mattress.

Pros

  • Contouring TEMPUR-ES foam relieves pressure points
  • Removable, cool-feel knit cover that can be machine washed
  • Compact twin sizing for dorms, RVs and guest beds

Cons

  • Corner straps can feel fiddly and may bunch on some frames
  • Some users report wear issues over extended use
  • May be softer than expected for strict firm-surface sleepers

VerdictThis 3-inch TEMPUR-Adapt + Cooling topper brings the brand’s pressure-relieving TEMPUR-ES foam in a portable twin size, plus a breathable, machine-washable cooling cover and anchor straps to keep it put. It noticeably softens firm sleep surfaces, reduces partner movement, and can help cool sleepers compared with standard foam. Durability concerns and strap fitment are recurring user notes, but for

Extended the life of our mattress

This topper refreshed our mattress and delayed a replacement. It delivered noticeable comfort and saved us from buying a new bed for now.

    Exactly what I wanted

Love it. Simple as that — very happy with the comfort and fit.

  3. Neisha 5/5

Wish it were thicker, but very comfortable

We tested mattresses and loved Tempur feel but kept our current bed. This 3" topper improved comfort immediately; it’s plush and hugs the body. My husband thinks two layers would mimic a full Tempur mattress, but for now it relieves pressure and stays cool enough.

Comfortable upgrade, straps could be improved

My firm mattress became much more comfortable with this pad — softer than I expected but pleasant. It’s held up over a year. The attachment straps keep it in place but feel like they could be designed better. At the current price, I expected a few small refinements.

Quality was excellent but customer service disappointed

I previously owned the 3" Tempur model and found it outstanding for comfort. When that older topper cracked after several years, warranty service was denied over normal stains. I bought the same model again hoping for the same quality, but the newest version felt different than my original.

Arrived in poor condition — returned

I ordered a queen-size topper but the item I received looked used and dirty. I returned it and cannot recommend buying without inspecting the packaging carefully.

Turns a firm mattress into a softer sleep surface

I placed this on a queen hybrid that felt too firm for my side-sleeping hips and shoulders. At 5'6" and 107 lbs, the topper cradles me and eases pressure points. If your base is supportive but unforgiving, this adds noticeable cushioning and helps circulation while maintaining support.

  8. Stampedelady 5/5

Great for flat beds, troublesome on adjustable frames

This topper helped my sore back and hips, but it bunches on my adjustable frame when I sleep sitting up. Initially it was very comfortable and slightly warm; after two years it developed rips and firmer spots, which was frustrating.

Comfortable but watch for quality-control issues

I upgraded from a 2" foam pad to this 3" Tempur topper to get more contouring. It softened my very firm hybrid bed and improved comfort, but I noticed uneven consistency and suspected quality-control lapses compared with cheaper alternatives.

Back pain relief after an injury

After a fall that compressed two lower vertebrae, I had recurring pain when moving or lifting. The topper fit my bed perfectly and felt heavy but manageable. After letting it expand, it felt firm at first then softened; I slept two nights with no nighttime pain and woke without discomfort. It helped more than chairs or short rests, and the company warranty is long-term, which added confidence to my purchase.

Returned to Tempur relief after long discomfort

I once owned a full Tempur mattress that eased my hip pain but later sagged. After years of shoulder and hip arthritis and reluctance to try cheaper alternatives, I finally bought this 3" topper. It restored much of the pressure relief without committing to another full mattress, though I worried about longevity and cost from the outset.

Three years of daily use and still going strong

I’ve used this topper nightly for over three years, and it still looks and feels almost new. It’s given me consistently good sleep and was worth trying as a more affordable way to enjoy Tempur-style comfort without replacing my entire mattress.
