Product review
This RV bumper hitch receiver provides a 2" x 2" opening to accept standard 2-inch shank accessories such as bicycle racks, cargo trays and other RV-mounted carriers. It is designed to clamp around most continuous steel bumper beams measuring roughly 4" to 4-1/2" in width and can be mounted in either orientation.
The adapter is rated at 2,000 lb gross trailer weight with a 200 lb tongue weight limit, though overall capacity is limited by the lowest-rated component in any towing setup. It is explicitly not intended to tow trailers.
Manufactured from carbon steel, the unit has a durable finish to resist corrosion and stand up to regular use. Installation is bolt-on — no welding required — and the package includes one RV bumper hitch receiver, a 5/8" hitch pin and clip, a full set of mounting hardware, and a hitch cover. If questions arise, customer support is available.
Pros
- Simple bolt-on installation
- Solid carbon steel construction
- Includes hitch pin and mounting hardware
Cons
- Not designed for towing
- May require longer bolts for wide bumpers
- Some reports of bending under unexpected loads
VerdictA straightforward bolt-on solution for adding a 2" receiver to RV bumpers. It clamps to 4–4.5" continuous steel beams and accepts common 2" shank accessories. Built from heavy carbon steel and sold with the pin, mounting bolts and hitch cover, it’s convenient and quick to install without welding. Performance for bike racks and cargo carriers is generally solid, but it must never be used for towing

Good option when no factory hitch exists
Installed on my camper bumper to mount a hitch rack. I needed longer bolts because of my bumper thickness, but otherwise it’s sturdy and functional.

Held up under heavy use
Survived a long haul with a four-wheeler on the rack. Not meant for towing, but it endured the trip without failing.

Used creatively up front
Mounted it on the camper nose to secure the hitch during towing — not the intended use, but it worked well for that purpose.

Failed under light load — unsafe
Bought this because it listed a 2,000 lb rating. I only carried a single cooler on a rear cargo rack and the receiver bent, almost dragging the load. This was dangerous and very disappointing; I was outside the return window when it failed.

Solid and reliable
Good build quality and appears to be a legitimate solution for RV accessory mounting. I’d recommend it.

Overbuilt for racks and boxes
Tube feels as heavy-duty as a weld-on unit. Obviously clamped to a bumper it shouldn’t be used for towing, but for bike racks or tool boxes it’s more than strong enough and good value.

Perfect for a 3-bike carrier
Simple to fit and supports three bicycles on my rack with no issues.
