Product review
This all-in-one starter bundle arrives in green packaging for online orders and contains everything needed to begin blood glucose testing. Inside you’ll find a PRODIGY AutoCode Talking Blood Glucose Meter plus two vials of PRODIGY No Coding Blood Glucose Test Strips (50 count each, 100 strips total). The kit also includes an adjustable-depth lancing device, a pack of PRODIGY twist-top lancets (28 gauge, 10 lancets), a small zippered carrying case, a quick reference guide, and the owner’s manual.
The AutoCode meter features a large, easy-to-read display and a voice output that speaks test results and step-by-step instructions in four languages: English, Spanish, French, and Arabic. Results appear on-screen and are announced aloud in about seven seconds. The meter is designed to work with no-coding strips that require only a very small blood sample, helping speed up the testing process while minimizing pain and waste.
Operation is straightforward: inserting a test strip powers the meter on and the unit walks the user through the procedure with visual prompts and spoken guidance. The meter runs on two AAA batteries (included or user-supplied depending on the kit) so no charging is necessary. The lancing device has adjustable depth settings to accommodate different skin types and comfort levels, and the twist-top lancets are single-use for hygiene.
Supplemental resources include an English and Spanish visual guide in the pack and an online setup video to assist with initial configuration. The compact carry case keeps the meter, strips, lancing device and lancets together for testing on the go. Replacement strips and lancets are sold separately for ongoing use.
Pros
- Spoken results in four languages
- No-coding strips — small blood sample
- Complete starter kit for immediate use
Cons
- Only ten lancets included
- No strip-eject button
- Some supplements may skew readings
VerdictAn accessible, user-friendly starter kit that combines a talking glucose meter with 100 no-coding strips and basic lancing supplies. Fast, spoken results and simple operation make it a solid choice for everyday monitoring, though users should be aware some supplements may affect readings.

Comfortable and easy to use
I’ve tried several meters over the years and this one is my favorite so far. The lancet is gentle yet effective and the strips absorb tiny amounts of blood easily. Inserting a strip powers the meter on and testing is simple. The talking feature is a nice extra.

Voice feedback works well
I gave it five stars because the spoken readings are reliable. I wish it had a mechanism to eject used strips into the trash — that would make disposal easier. It counts down in about seven or eight seconds and was simple to set up without squinting at instructions.

Dependable and accurate
This meter has been very trustworthy for me — accurate and consistent. It's the second unit I’ve bought after the original lasted several years, so I think it's a worthwhile purchase.

Very pleased with this meter
I recommend this model for home testing: it talks, replacement supplies are affordable, and everything fits neatly in the small pouch. Overall I’m very satisfied with the kit.

Only a few lancets included
Setup was straightforward and the meter seems to work fine. The kit only provided ten lancets, though I had extras from my previous meter, so I’m okay for now.

Mostly consistent, watch for interference
Initially the newer unit matched or was steadier than the older model, giving slightly lower—but consistent—readings. After a while I began seeing unexpectedly high results. I changed batteries and opened new strips with no improvement. Research showed some supplements can interfere and produce falsely high numbers. Trying a different brand not sensitive to those chemicals returned normal readings.

Good value for an extra meter
Bought this as a spare for my husband to keep at work. It performed well, was inexpensive, and included enough starter strips to make it a smart value. I picked up another to leave in the car.
