Product review
What you get: a single hanging platform feeder with an integrated hook and a durable tray designed for outdoor use.
Tray and capacity: the feeding surface features a 2-inch deep basin with raised sides to help contain seed and minimize scatter. The open layout gives birds easy access and roomy perches for varied species to feed comfortably.
Drainage and airflow: a metal mesh bottom permits fast water runoff and improves ventilation beneath the seed, reducing moisture buildup and helping to keep food fresher between refills.
Materials and durability: constructed from recycled poly lumber that mimics the look of wood but resists cracking, warping, fading and rot. The metal hanging rod and hook are stout and built to resist corrosion.
Size notes and maintenance: roughly 10.5 inches tall from the hook contact to the bottom and about 11 inches across the top, with the tray depth at 2 inches. The open, accessible tray makes topping up and routine cleaning quick and simple.
Pros
- Deep tray with raised edges reduces spillage
- Metal mesh base drains water fast
- Weather-resistant recycled poly construction
Cons
- Small seeds and hulls can still fall below
- Squirrels may access the food in some areas
- Hanging eye can be a bit snug for some hooks
VerdictA rugged, low-maintenance platform feeder that holds a generous amount of seed, keeps it drier with a mesh base, and offers raised edges to limit spillage. Ideal for backyard birdwatching; straightforward to refill and built to weather outdoor conditions.

Deborah Dixon 5/5
Superior to wooden versions
Hard plastic and a strong support rod outperform my wooden feeder. Blue jays were at it within minutes; birds seem happier stepping inside than perching on narrow dowels.

Solid and attractive
Very robust and neat-looking. A dependable purchase that looks good in the yard and works well.

Highly recommended feeder
Heavy enough to remain steady when hung; both large and small birds stand inside to feed. I’d recommend this to anyone wanting a simple, reliable platform.

Durable, detailed, and long-lasting
Owned for a year — not wood but a thick, hard plastic that looks like wood and holds up well. No rust or mildew, no fading after sun exposure. Measures about 10.5" high, 11" across and 2" deep; small drainage holes prevent water pooling.

Heavy-duty yet lightweight
Feels sturdy but not cumbersome. Plenty of bird types feed from it without tipping. The raised rim secures food in bad weather and bottom holes prevent rot — a practical size and good value.

Attracts birds but messy underneath
Birds love it; however squirrels are getting in and a lot of shells and seeds end up on the ground beneath, making a mess.

Solid replacement for my old feeder
My homemade feeder gave out, so I swapped it for this platform. The larger, open design attracted more species. Setup was easy and the solid hanging hook feels reliable; seed stays in place even when big birds take off.

Effective design draws birds quickly
Birds discovered it within days and assembly was fuss-free. It holds a fair amount of seed and performs reliably for the price.

Sturdy, compact, and bird-friendly
Nice size that fits two birds comfortably without swinging wildly. Easy to clean and feels built to last — likely to endure many seasons.

My go-to feeding station
I really like this tray. Birds arrived sooner than I expected. It holds plenty of seed, stands up to the weather, and is simple to refill and wipe clean. A daily pleasure to watch wildlife here.

Practical and well-made
Open top invites birds and the mesh filters fine debris so you can just top it up. Hanging eye is a touch small but is sturdy and secure.

Birds adore it
Built like a tank with good drainage holes so water won’t collect. It’s in heavy use here — I refill it multiple times daily because the birds love it.

Used and loved in two colors
High quality and easy to clean. I own two color versions and both are constantly visited by multiple birds.
