Starbucks has long made the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) a hallmark of the early fall menu, and this year is no exception.
Starbucks has confirmed the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte to stores on August 26, 2025.
PSL fans can mark their calendars for the unofficial start of fall on August 26 when the iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte, made with real pumpkin, will return to Starbucks coffeehouses.
Good news for PSL lovers: Starbucks is also offering a limited number of free Pumpkin Spice Lattes to celebrate the drink’s return.
The offer is limited: 50,000 free beverages will be available, so you’ll want to act quickly.
The first 50,000 U.S. Starbucks Rewards members to successfully redeem the promo code will receive a coupon good for 1 free beverage (not to exceed $10). Coupon can be redeemed between 8/26/25–9/1/25 only at participating U.S. Starbucks coffeehouses. One per person.

Follow these steps to try to secure one of the free PSL coupons:
Step 1: Go to the Starbucks Free PSL website. (This is the official Starbucks promotion page.)
Step 2: Click the “Reserve Free PSL” button.
Step 3: Sign in to your Starbucks Rewards account. You must be logged in so the coupon can be linked to your account.
Step 4: After successfully reserving, you should see confirmation that a coupon has been reserved for you.
Step 5: Check your Starbucks account on August 26, 2025. The free PSL coupon will be added to the accounts of qualifying members and can be redeemed in participating U.S. Starbucks stores between 8/26/25 and 9/1/25.
