Materials and construction: the main housing is molded ABS-style plastic for lightness and durability. The sponge pads are high-absorbency foam to distribute moisture evenly beneath the palette sheets. The supplied paper is thicker than standard paper and tear-resistant to prevent leaking or shredding when lifted. Brushes have wooden handles and synthetic filaments suited for acrylics and gouache.
Dimensions and layout: the closed case is compact for travel — approximately 9.5 x 6.5 x 1.5 inches — with interior sections for a wet mixing area plus a separate row of dry wells for storing mixed colors and brushing tools. The lid seals snugly to limit evaporative loss when paused between sessions.
How it’s used: saturate the sponge bed and lay a sheet of the palette paper over it to create the wet surface; mix paints on the sheet so acrylics remain workable longer. The middle compartment holds pooled or pre-mixed colors and provides slots for brushes. Close the lid to preserve moisture; the tray can also be used as a dry palette or to transport paints safely to group painting nights.

Stayed usable after long neglect

Discovered wet palettes recently and this one keeps acrylics moist while I mix custom shades. Assembly is simple and cleanup minimal — remember to dampen the sponge correctly. Brushes are decent for detail.

Disappointing finish on some parts
Feels cheaply manufactured in places. Useful to have everything together, but the brushes underperform and the plastic could be sturdier.

Great portable size and contents
Just unboxed and happy with the dimensions — not too big for travel but roomy enough for mixing. Sponges and brushes feel smooth and useful, drybrushes are soft and blend nicely.
