Grapefruit cocktails are my favorite summer sips: light, fruity, and refreshingly not too sweet. Recently I experimented and created this Grapefruit Lime Fizz. It combines freshly squeezed grapefruit and lime juices, a touch of simple syrup for balance, gin, and tonic water for fizz. The result is a slightly sweet, effervescent cocktail that’s perfect for kicking off the weekend.
This drink comes together in minutes and uses only a handful of ingredients—many of which you may already have at home. While I prefer fresh grapefruit and lime juice for the bright flavor, you can use bottled juices as a convenient shortcut. I made this recipe for two, but it scales easily for larger groups. You can also prepare the citrus and syrup ahead of time and add ice and tonic just before serving. Its pretty pink hue makes it a lovely choice for a bridal shower or any casual gathering, especially when served from a drink dispenser.

I love how the sweetness of the syrup balances the grapefruit’s bitter-sour edge. With fresh fruit juice in the mix, it also feels like a slightly lighter option compared with heavier cocktails.
