Product review
Includes: one Carox Starship mini drone, three modular 650mAh batteries, remote controller, USB Type-C charging cable, spare propellers and an instruction manual.
Battery & flight time: Each 650mAh battery delivers roughly 7–7.5 minutes of continuous flight. Swapping batteries keeps sessions going — more than 20 minutes of uninterrupted flying with quick exchanges, and up to about 50 minutes total with intermittent use.
Lighting & design: This model has two independent LED light modules and eight selectable lighting modes. Colors cycle through pink, blue and rainbow patterns so flights look striking by day or night. The hull follows a spaceship-inspired silhouette for appeal to younger pilots.
Controls & features: Built-in barometer enables stable altitude hold. Simple controls include one-key takeoff/landing, 360° flips, auto-spin and dual speed settings so learners can progress. The small footprint makes it suitable for living rooms, yards and parks.
Safety & build: Propellers are surrounded by integrated blade guards and the body uses impact-resistant ABS plastic to reduce damage from bumps. The drone is lightweight and intended for children, with design choices aimed at protecting fingers and furniture.
Charging & certifications: Charges via a Type-C port for faster replenishment. The battery system includes over-voltage protection (TB19 supports 36V protection) and the cells carry CE markings and disposal icons. Recommended for children aged 6 and up.
Pros
- Three removable 650mAh batteries extend total playtime
- Dual LED modules with eight selectable light modes
- Beginner-friendly controls and altitude hold
Cons
- Individual flights are short (≈7–7.5 min each)
- Some users report damage after ordinary bumps
- Small parts can tangle with hair or debris
VerdictA feature-packed starter drone with vivid lighting and removable batteries that extend playtime. It’s simple to pilot thanks to altitude hold and one-button takeoff, and the guarded props and ABS shell improve safety during indoor use. Durability varies by user, so expect a fun, easy-to-learn experience but handle crashes carefully.

Loved at first, then damaged
My son loved it initially, but after a few weeks it sucked up hair and jammed. While replacing a blade the wiring tore and it stopped working.

High use drains batteries quickly
My 9- and 14-year-old grandsons fly it nonstop, so the batteries run down fast, but they still can’t get enough of it.

Solid and kid-safe build
My son is having a great time. Easy to fly and sturdier than our last one. Swapping the three batteries keeps him flying longer.

Kids love it — comes with two batteries
Ships with two batteries. They provided roughly an hour of combined use per charge for us. Robust and simple to operate; kids have a blast.

Keeps kids entertained
My kids adore it. Very easy for beginners, the colorful lights are a hit and the dual modes add variety. It charges fast and holds up to several knocks.

Stopped flying after a few knocks
It was controllable and handled indoor bumps at first, but after some light crashes one side failed to lift. Resetting didn’t fix it — it broke within days.
