Product review
Includes one 8-inch aluminum banding wheel turntable with integrated bearing assembly and a grooved, brushed top surface for centering work.
Constructed from high-grade aluminum alloy, the top and base resist dents and wear. The assembly uses heavy-duty ball bearings and is rated to support a maximum load of 25 pounds, providing dependable rotation for most hobby and light professional tasks.
Dimensions are 8 inches in diameter for the working surface, with a 5-inch base diameter and a height of approximately 1.5 inches. The unit is double-sided so you can flip it to use a smaller surface if needed.
The turntable features a concealed dual-bearing system that spins smoothly with minimal wobble. It rotates freely in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, accommodating left- and right-handed users and allowing you to turn pieces without touching them.
Edges are polished and rounded for safe handling, and the top has concentric grooves to help center and align workpieces precisely. The manufacturer offers after-sales support and the aluminum construction is intended for long service life.
Pros
- Smooth, hidden dual-bearing rotation
- Durable aluminum construction
- Double-sided for flexible working surfaces
Cons
- May feel light for heavy clay or high-torque tasks
- Smaller base can be less stable on uneven tables
- Not a substitute for powered pottery wheels
VerdictThis 8-inch metal banding wheel delivers smooth, low-friction rotation thanks to hidden dual ball bearings and a solid aluminum build. It’s a versatile tabletop turntable suited to glazing, decorating, painting and light modeling. While its lightweight design makes it easy to move and flip for a smaller working surface, those doing heavy clay throwing or high-torque studio work may find it underpo

Exactly what I needed — it feels sturdy, looks clean, and is ideal for hand-building projects.

Reliable spin for painted items
Does a great job keeping pieces turning steadily when I’m painting details on small objects.

Useful for cakes, florals and glazing
Made from quality aluminum and I’ve used it for frosting a cake and arranging flowers; rotating the platform helped keep everything even. I bought it originally for clay but it may lack the heft for heavy throwing; however it should be excellent for glazing and finishing work. I like that it flips to give a smaller top and that it spins smoothly both ways.

Handy rotating surface for many projects
Although aimed at pottery, it’s proven useful across other tasks like model painting and small repairs. The platform runs smoothly on its bearings and has enough mass to stay put for most tabletop work. The aluminum feels solid and rotation is controlled rather than loose, which saves time and effort when you need to rotate a piece repeatedly.

Feels high quality and turns smoothly
Both faces spin very smoothly and are usable. It has a surprisingly substantial weight for its size, which helps with stability. Quality seems on par with pricier models and I’m pleased with the value.

Excellent for product shots and 360° videos
Perfect for photographing and filming 360° product rotations — it looks and feels premium without being cumbersome. The double-sided design is convenient for switching to a smaller surface, and it’s a big upgrade over cheap plastic wheels for professional-looking results.

Too light for heavy-duty studio work
Disappointed for serious pottery use — it’s too light to get a strong, continuous spin and feels flimsy under heavier loads. Works okay for slow or delicate tasks, but not for fast glazing or heavy pieces.
