Product review
Heavy-duty construction — Each leg is crafted from solid rubberwood and the set is rated to support up to 1,762 lbs in total (about 440 lbs per leg). These 5-inch replacements give a sturdy foundation for bulky sofas and chairs without relying on subjective quality claims.
Two hanger-bolt standards in one package — Check the threaded holes on your frame before fitting. If the holes measure 10–12 mm, use the supplied M8 bolts; if they measure 8–9 mm, the 5/16" hangers are the correct size. A 5/16" bolt is already fitted into each leg; swap to the M8 hanger with the included hex wrench when necessary.
Options for frames without threads — For furniture lacking threaded inserts, screw the supplied 5/16" nut plate into the underside of the frame, then hand-tighten the leg onto that plate. If your piece already has 5/16" or M8 internal threads, the legs screw straight in and the nut plate is not required.
Designed seat height and clearance — These legs are intended to achieve a typical seat height around 16–17 inches. To verify for your piece: measure your current seat height, subtract the existing leg height, then add 5 inches. The 5-inch rise also creates a moisture-resistant air gap and usually gives enough room for many robot vacuum models (roughly 3.5–4" tall).
Versatile fit and style — The square, tapered profile works with a variety of furnishings, including recliners, dressers and mid-century modern coffee tables, and complements Scandinavian and MCM interiors. Note: these are not suitable for flat-plate mounts or frames under 1" thick.
What’s in the box — 4 solid rubberwood legs (each with a 5/16" hanger bolt pre-installed), 4 M8 hanger bolts, 4 nut plates for 5/16" frames, 16 mounting screws, 4 felt pads and one hex wrench for bolt swapping.
Pros
- High total load rating (1,762 lbs per set)
- Includes both 5/16" and M8 hanger options plus nut plates
- 5" clearance improves airflow and fits many robot vacuums
Cons
- Not compatible with flat-plate mounts
- Frames under 1" thick are unsuitable
- Some setups may need extra drilling or hardware
VerdictThese 5-inch rubberwood legs are a solid, straightforward way to raise and restyle sofas, chairs or mid-century pieces. They deliver a high load rating across the set, come with both 5/16" and M8 hanger bolt options, and include nut plates for frames without threads. Installation is mostly tool-free once holes are prepared, and the 5" clearance suits many robot vacuums and improves ventilation. Id

Gave my decades-old sofa new life
A tiny swap made a big difference. After 35 years my living-room set feels refreshed — the 5-inch lift improved airflow (my return duct sits behind the sofa) and the frame looks purposely raised. The wood is solid, installation was simple and it included all needed fasteners. I removed the old 2-inch plastic legs and threaded these on; the color and strength match perfectly. Highly satisfied.

Finally comfortable to get up from
The sofa used to sit too low; these legs brought it to a comfortable height. They look like they belong on the piece, feel sturdy, and the hardware matched standard fittings. Very pleased with the result.

Practical upgrade that fits well
I didn’t study the specs closely and assumed a standard fit — that turned out fine. Solid wood legs arrived with extra screws and adhesive pads to protect floors. Swapping out the old feet was straightforward (flipping the couch was the hardest part). Upgraded from very low legs to much taller ones and the change was worth it.

Ideal size for my chair
My original chair legs were slightly too tall and had a mid-century look I didn’t want. These 5-inch legs were an inch shorter than the originals and matched the color and shape, giving a cleaner, modern profile. They threaded into the existing holes and feel very stable.

Far superior to plastic blocks
Used these in my theater room to replace plastic risers that needed two people to move. Swapping legs took a minute and they’re very sturdy and attractive. Other options seemed too narrow at the top, but these fit perfectly. Recycled the old risers.

Makes the chair look and feel larger
A leather chair that sat too low now has better presence after fitting the 5" legs — a couple more inches made it look proportionate. The included 5/16" hanger bolts were fine, but the threaded anchors in the packet were wider than expected so I sourced longer 5/16" hanger bolts locally and skipped the anchors. Slight extra step, but the appearance is excellent.

Better posture for taller sitters
Well finished and robust. If you’re working on a wood frame you’ll want drill bits on hand. Moving from 3" to 5" helped my back and leg comfort when sitting — a good choice for taller users.

Works for converting an accent chair
Happy with the purchase for converting a small accent chair into a dining chair. The original legs were 4 inches but I needed an 8-inch solution for my project.
