Predator and Debris Shield: This pond netting is intended to cover ponds and keep fish, such as koi and goldfish, safe from birds, herons, cats and raccoons while blocking leaves, twigs and other floating debris. The fabric’s fine 1/2" mesh forms a barrier that reduces cleaning needs and helps maintain clearer water.
Subtle, Floating Design: The net is produced in black and designed to sit above the water so fish remain visible and unharmed. Its discreet color blends into garden settings and offers protection without dominating the pond’s appearance.
Robust, Weather-Resistant Material: Constructed from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the netting resists UV degradation, tearing and corrosion for multi-season use. The weave is reinforced with multiple strands to lower the chance of rips or tangles, and the flexible material can be stretched and folded for storage.
Easy Setup and Tailored Fit: No tools are required to use this cover. Simply unroll the net, pull it over the pond surface and secure it with anchors. The lightweight textile can be trimmed to match irregular pond shapes and rolled up when not in use for convenient storage.
Kit Contents and Anchors: The package contains a single 20 x 20 ft pond netting cover and 21 plastic ground stakes to help hold the net in place even in breezy conditions. The stakes are intended to provide a basic anchor system for year-round protection.
Pros
- Fine 1/2" mesh keeps most leaves and debris out
- UV-resistant HDPE for season-to-season durability
- Lightweight and easy to trim or roll for storage
Cons
- Very thin pine needles can pass through
- Plastic stakes may break in hard soil
- Requires tensioning to avoid sagging
VerdictThis 20x20 ft pond netting provides effective protection for pond occupants and keeps most airborne debris out. The black HDPE material is durable, UV-resistant, and flexible enough to conform to many pond shapes. Installation is straightforward — unroll, stretch over the pond and anchor — and the kit includes stakes for anchoring. It handles general seasonal leaf fall well and deters birds, thoug

Seems to deter herons
Strong, flexible and the small mesh helps discourage the heron that used to visit. The black color blends into the background and looks better than my old green net.

Ideal for a tree-shaded pond
This net stopped almost all leaves from falling into my pond thanks to its tighter mesh, while still letting enough light reach the plants. Be sure to measure the pond width before ordering.

Kept leaves out, stakes were weak
Netting did a great job keeping this season’s leaves away; pine needles still slipped through. It stretches to fit larger ponds. The included stakes shattered when hammered, so I used rocks instead and that worked well.

Saved my yard from mulberry mess
I used this net under a neighbor’s mulberry tree to catch ripe fruit and stop pests. It’s lightweight yet held 20+ lb of berries without tearing and lets light through for plants underneath. It stretches, so you must pull it tight to avoid sagging; not indestructible but very durable.
